An 1880s Bustle and Petticoat

The bustle is made of coral cotton sateen. I used the Laughing Moon Bustles and Hoops pattern, but instead of making my size I made about a size 20, since I wanted a rather big bustle.

The petticoat is a lengthened version of the Truly Victorian petticoat pattern. Since it was common to mount flounces on full length petticoats instead of at the hem, I decided to do this for mine. The flounce is decorated with tucks, which also give it body, and lace from Francine's Lace.
